On The Move!!!

Well, life as we knew it is now over...Cole is officially moving all over the place and climbing on everything in site! His personality seems to develop more and more each day and he is responding to his name when it is said. He has shown more progress in the last 3-5 weeks than we have seen since he arrived. Baby gates have been installed, cabinets have been fortified, and the coffee table has been removed and been replaced by a soft ottoman. He has also had his fair share of illnesses. He has already had two ear infections, an upper-respiratory infection, and he has just recovered from a bout with pink eye. To top it off he has added two more teeth (the total is now four), with the two newest being in front and on the top. Through all of this he has continued to be a pretty good boy. He will fuss and whine here and there, but he is definitely a happy and jolly baby a majority of the time.

Cole has started to get out and about and be social. He made a weekend trip to Ft. Wayne in early Janurary to see the Matt, Mariah, Grant, and Harris. He and Grant even had matching pajamas, which was a complete coincidence. He has made two trips to Zanesville, both in February for birthdays and in lots of snow. He has been to the library for story time, he went to his first music class (although it wasn't great, Megan said the lady in charge reminded her of Ms. Lippy from Billy Madison), and he is making a third trip to the zoo on Saturday, 3/6! Since we are headed to the beach for Megan's family vacation in June, we are going to introduce him to the water as soon as possible.

Cole continues to sleep through the night, so mom and dad are doing pretty well in that department. He has been eating fruits and vegetables for over two months now as Megan is making all of his food with her wonderful christmas present from Gran & Grandad. Besides his rice cereal and formula, he is eating bananas, squash, carrots (his favorites), pears, mangos, peaches, sweet potatoes, apples (he did NOT like), green beans, peas, papaya, and more. A majority of these great foods have been provided by Aunt Kristen from her wonderful farm-fresh gardens.

Clover is still doing very well with Cole, although she is unsure of why this thing continues to grow and move all over the place. What's most amazing is that despite all the toys and gadgets that are scattered across our living room, Cole's two favorite items to play with are Megan's netbook and the tv remote (in that order). Before you know it he will be walking, so stay tuned for that and many other new things that will come our way!

Cole is 6 months old....

WOW!! I can not believe it has been 6 months since my little man was born. Time has flown and he has grown. He is now 20 pounds (90%) and 30 inches long (which is OFF THE CHART by a mile). Guess he got his height from Uncle Neal, cousin Frank and cousin Evan.

He had a great appointment. The Dr said everything is looking great and he is ahead of schedule on some things. He has really grown up this past month. He is pulling up on things and getting on all fours sometimes. He is now a compete sitter on his own. It is so cute to see him grow.

We started Solids and he has had Squash so far. We will be giving him a different food every three days. More to come on that.
Below are his 6 month pictures!!!

Christmas and First Snow

Cole's first Christmas was AWESOME!! We all had so much fun!! We did Christmas with Nate, Cole and I on December 23rd and he even opened presents on his own. He was really starting to sit up and enjoy being a "big boy". On December 24th we headed to Neetie and Paw Paws. We spent the day there and had Christmas with Neetie, Paw Paw, Chad, Amy, Logan and Avery. The kids had so much fun. Cant wait to see the fun they have next year. Avery LOVED her dress up from us and Cole was a great baby the whole time. At 6pm we went to Church then home to relax. Santa came to Neetie and Paw Paws then we headed to Zanesville for Christmas with the Baughman's. We opened gifts with Reid, Linda, Sarah and Kristen then had Christmas Lunch. The night ended at Grandma's with more food and the gift exchange. The 26th was the leftover party then it was back to Cincy.

We had a big snowfall on January 7th. We had about 5 inches. Cole was a bit unsure of the snow and could not move in his monkey suit.

Below are pictures from the Snow and Christmas 2009.

Christmas Pictures and 5 months

Cole and I had a photo session at home for our Christmas card and they turned out GREAT!! I am so excited for his first Christmas. He LOVES the lights on the tree and enjoys playing with it.

He is also over 5 months old now. He turned 5 months on December 9th. I can not believe it. I just re read over our early post and I can not believe how big and strong he is after his rough start. He is truly my little miracle and I love him more than anything in this world. It is amazing how fast your life changes (for the good) when a baby is born. We are best buddies already and I hope we always remain close. Since I am working for home, I spend the majority of my time with the little guy and I would not trade that for anything. He is really growing up. He rolls from his belly to back and back to belly. He is rarly in the same postion for long. He is a mover. He also has TWO teeth. He got his first one on 12-10-09 and his second on 12-14-09. Cole is loving his cereal and we will be starting fruits and vegetables here soon. Life is GREAT and I can not wait for the Holidays with our little family.

4 month check-up

It is hard to believe it, but Cole is 4 month old aready. He is such a BIG boy. He had a check-up today and he is now 16.7 pounds (75%) and is 27 1/4 inches long(98%). He is loving his cereal and really starting to show his outgoing personality already. He is a ham already!!! He has had a few overnights with Neetie and Paw Paw and will be heading back to Zanesville for the second time this weekend. I think he is sad to see Nate's Football season over, but he still has been to MSJ and UC games.

Cole has been sick for a few weeks now, yet he is still happy all the time. He is starting to sit up with help and I think it will be no time before he is sitting up all alone.

Below are some pictures from this past few weeks. He sure likes phots :)

3 months

I am a little behind, but wanted to update everyone on Cole. He is 3 and 1/2 months old now. At 3 months we were at the Doctor with a little cold and he was weighed. He is now 15 lbs, 2 ounces. WHAT A BIG BOY!!! He is such a happy, alert, fun baby. He always wants to stand and be in the action. When we got his 3 month pictures, there were NO smiles. I could not believe it. Cole has continued to go to Football games, dinners, etc. He is a GREAT baby out and about as well. He loves to sit on Mommy and Daddy's lap at the table and look around. We started cereal about a week ago and he is liking it so far. It has even helped with his sleep and he has only been getting up once a night which is nice. Below are some pictures from the last month or so.
