A word from Baby's Daddy!!

Hello all! I thought I would take a minute to update things from my end. All is going well at the Baughman household, at least as much as can be expected with an extremely pregnant woman! The nursery has been painted and prepared and is waiting only the arrival of our baby boy to make it complete! We have prepped Clover as much as possible, but I don't think a baby doll has the same affect that the real thing will. It could get interesting when we bring him home! In the meantime, it is a slow process of waiting and preparing. We are keeping ourselves busy, but as the date draws nearer, Mama wants to do less and less; which is understandable!

Continue to vote for your preferred name. I will not sway your opinion in any way by stating my favorite of the 3 names, so you will just have to wait and see which one fits him the best!

Cincinnati Baby Shower

Memorial Day weekend was a busy weekend for us. Friday night my cousins Rachel, Matt and Veronica came up to visit. We had a GREAT time! Rachel is due on July 4th, one day after me.

Saturday we had my Cincinnati Baby Shower. I got some awesome things and we are really getting close to being ready for Baby Boy Baughman to arrive. All my friends and family were at the shower and it was great! They are the best in the world and this baby is so lucky to have all them in his world.

Sunday was also a busy day with a trip to Taste of Cincinnati and a Cincinnati Reds Game. It was a alittle hot for us all to be out in the sun, but we made it through the 9 innings (not the 2 extra innings). We ended Memorial Day weekend with some baby item shopping, cleaning and a cook-out. What a great time. Only 5 weeks and 3 days till our whwole world will change!

Getting Started and updates

I decided that with the baby coming, it would be nice to start a blog so everyone could read about how things are going. I am not real sure how all of this works, so it may take some time to get it going.

Things in the Baughman house are crazy. Nate is busy finishing up the school year and coaching in the Cincinnati East vs. West All-Star game. They have practice Monday- Thursday, so he is rarley home. The game is at Kings High School on June 4th- come if you can. I will be there unless it is super hot. Not doing that at 8.5 months pregnant. As most of you know, I lost my job at Marriott in April, however I am now working for my old boss from Monster from home. It is nice to be a contractor. Easy to get distracted, but luckily I have a lot of work to do, so I have been doing well.

Along with all of that we are getting ready for the arrival of our Baby Boy! A little over 6 weeks is the countdown and we are slowly getting ready. We had a great shower in Zanesville last week and another in Cincinnati this Saturday. Things with the baby have been great! Not one problem yet. He has been very active recently and I have been feeling really good. I actually have less back aches and pains now than I did between 25-30 weeks. Those were rough weeks for me. I am going to the Doctor on Friday, so I will update everyone then.
