39 weeks

SO, same news as last week... No progress. The Doctor said that the majority of women go into labor within 5 days before or after their due date- guess I cant get too frustrated yet. Everything is looking good. He is measuring good and is estimated to weigh in the low 7's right now and should be right around 8 pounds at birth. We will see how close the doctor guessed. His heart beat was 150, which is good.



I gained 2 lbs, but with the loss last week, we are even. They had a hard time getting my blood pressure today, but did eventually get it. It was 134/84 which is high for me, but not for someone who is 39 weeks pregnant during a smog alert. Only bad news is the doctor today said he will not induce me till I am between 41 and 42 weeks- YUCK!! I will ask the doctor I have next week in case he has a different opinion.

I am just hanging in there, counting down the days now. I guess I am too much of a planner to sit and not know when it will happen, but I will just have to learn to wait. I have a busy next two days, but then I have not much planned after Friday, so I may need some entertaining next week and the week after. We are all set- Nursery done, Car seat installed, and my bag is packed.

Next appointment is July 1st at 1:35pm (2 days before my due date)......
